Il neonato che vedete nella foto ha 12 anni: in Cina, infatti, si festeggia la nascita del bambino in provetta più a lungo conservato del Paese. Infatti l'embrione da cui il piccolo è nato lo scorso mercoledì nell'ospedale di Tangdu è stato fecondato più di 12 anni fa. Una storia che potrebbe dare speranza alle donne di tutto il mondo alle prese con problemi di fertilità. La vicenda viene raccontata dal China Daily, che spiega che una donna di 40 affetta da sindrome dell'ovaio policistico aveva bloccato le tube di Falloppio per poi congelare i suoi embrioni per la prima volta nel 2013, quando tentò di restare incinta. Dodici anni e qualche giorno dopo - e dopo lo stop alla politica del figlio unico nel Paese - ha dato alla luce il suo secondo figlio. Quando la donna iniziò il trattamento di fertilità, i medici fecondarono con lo sperma del marito 12 ovuli, due dei quali sono stati impiantati subito e hanno dato vita ad un bambino sano. Gli embrioni restanti sono stati congelati, e la donna ha voluto conservarli nella speranza di poter partorire successivamente: su sette embrioni congelati solo tre sono sopravvissuti, e uno di questi era il bimbo nato questa settimana.
