Ecco Spot, il cane robot di Google e Boston Dynamics/ Here Spot, Google's robot dog and Boston Dynamics
Segnalato dal Dott. Giuseppe Cotellessa/ Reported by Dr. Joseph Cotellessa

About a year ago Google acquires Boston Dynamics, an engineering and robotics company known for the development of BigDog, a quadruped robot dedicated to military purposes by the US military. After months and months of work and enhancements, the American company has presented "Spot", a robot dog weighing about 73 kg can climb mountains, climb stairs, recognizing steep terrain and also keep balance if someone tries to pull a football (as in the video you see reported the highest). All this is possible thanks to the extraordinary quality of the sensors at the top of Spot (at the level of the head), but what is striking is the gracefulness and movements that this robotic dog manages to get. At the moment we do not know further details nor do we know the real robot autonomy: Spot should be applied in military operations but it is likely its use in other areas.
